Cervical myelopathy due to an endodermal intraspinal cyst in a two-year-old child: a case report

Background: Cervical myelopathy is commonly seen in the older population caused by a degenerative process, but rare case, it can be pediatric due to uncommon causes, such as an intraspinal cyst. This case report aims discuss of cervical endodermal cyst two-year-old child.Case Presentation: A 2-year-old child with limited neck movement and abnormal body posture from 6 months before admission hospital. Spine trauma other histories disease were denied. There was no deformity, swelling, hematoma, wound on vertebra region physical examinations. The motoric function found weaker upper lower right extremities, pathological reflex both sides. MRI examination showed intradural extra-medullar space-occupying lesion C2-C5 level spine. At first, patient diagnosed extramedullary tumor at C2-C5. Excision cyst, posterior decompression, laminectomy done this patient. postoperative histopathological result type cyst.Conclusion. study first tumor, which appears benign result. surgical treatment results favorable outcome, routine follow-up should monitor improvement or long-term neurological decline.
